Job Summary

As someone with experience of project management in sport development you have an insight into the power of sport to transform the lives of young people. Now you are looking for an opportunity to use your experience and drive to make a difference. This role as Development Officer for Sports Programmes at the Youth Sport Trust is the platform you are looking for. We, like you, are passionate about creating a brighter future for all children and young people through the power of sport. As Development Officer you can do just that.

Join us and you will use insight to help design and implement positive youth sport experiences that enable young people to achieve their personal best at any level of performance, through programes such as School Games (intra and inter), NGB Format Development and Multi Skill Festivals. You will develop and deliver high quality learning environments that are cutting edge, unique and inspire participants. You will work with colleagues to ensure that solutions are positioned digitally to broaden engagement levels with young people too. In order to meet agreed agendas and maximise impact you will also work with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, national governing bodies of sport, professional sports teams, schools and others. Important will be the ability to build links internally and with youth forums to ensure our sporting solutions remain relevant and continue to meet the needs of young people.

Much of your success will depend on you having supported or project managed complex, long term projects in sports development. You will have experience of working within the school landscape and/or the sport system where you will have been involved in designing and/or delivering positive youth sport experiences, based on an understanding of child development. You will be used to co-ordinating work with external partners, including National Governing Bodies of Sport, and are effective at building relationships. You must also possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills too.

If you possess all these attributes and share our passionate belief in the benefits of sport for young people, please select "Apply for this job" below and complete an online application.

Youth Sport Trust positively welcomes and seeks to ensure we achieve diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment.
